March in review

Inspired by @paulienuh as always I've decided to start a monthly review of all the happenings in my life (finalllllly... lol jk). Even if no one gives AF about this, reflecting is saa good for the olde mental health & I can't commit to doing it daily, so why not?

Highlights

  • Completing a full week of user research fundamentals training in Newcastle. I’m now a UR queen 👑💁‍♀️

  • I got better at skiing ⛷

  • I was asked to help an amazing start up with their user research as I seem like someone with "good project management skills" 😏

  • Starting to volunteer for Refugees at Home

  • Getting more sign ups to my e-newsletter yasssss 📝

  • My first performance review at work went SUPER well 🏆

  • Visiting my best friend in Italy who’s studying a masters in cognitive neuroscience 🧠 she’s so clever 💓

  • Celebrating my gorgeous boyfriend’s 24th 🕺🏼

improving the BBC weather site

Lowlights (is lowlights a word? the rubbish bits)

  • Not managing to finish my guest blog post for cyberscanner as quickly as I’d have liked to

  • Communication problems leading to misunderstandings ☹️

  • Travelling over 5000 miles WITHIN the uk, where’s the ☀️ at?

  • I thought I would be publishing my first reading list/newsletter this month but tooooo much has happened. I wasn’t thinking of just posting it anyways, but I want it to be good, so I’ll wait 🤷‍♀️

Gainz

  • 32kg bench press 🏋️‍♀️

  • I went for several runs (ok only for like 10 mins each, chill bish) but I DON'T RUN, so this is progress right?

  • Hello back bends 👇 (yes my shoulder mobility is shit)

  • Started gymming BEFORE work 😴

this is what you start doing when you spend a week alone in a hotel

Goals for April

  • SAVE SOME MONEY

  • Meditate.every.day 🧘🏻‍♀️

  • Working on improving my confidence when it comes to backing myself in sticky situations 💦 (anyone have any tips for this??)

  • Move into London, can’t hack the commute anymore peeps 🚂

Quote of the month

“Past behaviour is the best predictor of future behaviour” 🤔 food for thought? I’d say so. Using this to compete against my past, inconsistent gym going, self 💪🏻
